Meet Kent
Kent Davis knows the District Attorney's Office from the inside. He served as a Salt Lake County Deputy District Attorney from February 2017 to June 2021 and now brings legal, operational, and management experience to a campaign focused on an office that works, works fairly, and works in the open.
Kent began in general felonies, moved to domestic violence, and finished in special victims and murders. He started and supervised the office's first cybercrime prosecution effort. He previously served as a public defender in Pima County, Arizona, clerked for a federal judge, and worked at the U.S. Department of Justice through the Attorney General's Honors Program.
Kent is an Army combat veteran with two deployments to Iraq. He first deployed as an enlisted soldier in military intelligence and later returned as an Infantry officer. He is a graduate of Airborne and Ranger Schools, and a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal and Combat Infantryman Badge. He currently serves as Corporate Counsel and Director of Cybersecurity at Woodbury Corporation, previously chaired the Utah State Bar Cyberlaw Section, and serves on two Utah Supreme Court advisory committees.
Kent's priorities are clear:

Kent lives in Cottonwood Heights with his wife, Katie, and their two children. He is running to strengthen public trust in the District Attorney's Office through practical leadership, clear standards, and follow-through.
